Dark Essentials Series Update
Volume 4 of the Dark Essentials Series will now be split into 2 years. Titles released will remain the same (Excavation, Untcigahunk, Prototype, & The Demonologist), but volume 4 will be a 2006/2007 release. The first two titles will be released in 2006, the latter two in 2007. This will not effect current subscriptions. The titles in the subscription has just been spread out over a two year period. I wanted to make this change due to the influx of amazing first editions which I felt needed released in a more timely fashion as compared to the DE reprints which have already been released in mass market paperback prior to their limited publication.
Meanwhile, book 1 in DE4, Steve Rasnic Tem’s Excavation, is at the printer and will be released next month.
Untcigahunk by Rick Hautala will be released in December to round off the first half of DE4.
DE3 slipcases are now at the bindery and should be shipping out to customers in August. This custom slipcase houses all books in volume 3 of the series (Hush, Deathgrip, A Lower Deep, & Prodigal). The deadline to order this slipcase was May 31, 2006. If you own a set of DE3 and missed the deadline, you can special order one by e-mailing me at sales@deliriumbooks.com. Special orders will cost an additional $10 per slipcase. The original cost of these slipcases was $30.
Last but not least, The Wishnik, the free limited edition for subscribers of DE3, is in the last stages of layout and editing. Kurt Newton has finished polishing his first novel and it will be going to the printer in the coming weeks. Look for it to ship around October. I apologize for the delay on this, but one last polish was in order before this brilliant Newton novel was perfected to be in your hands.
Note: This novel was not sold. The only way you can get it was to have subscribed to last year’s Dark Essentials Series.

Not to knock Excavation, but I just love the WISHNIK cover. Is that the gold stamp or the dj?

The Wishnik will be produced like the original THE HOUSE SPIDER, as foil stamp design only, no DJ. But the book’s material will be something special.

Very exciting to hear more on the Wishnik… been wondering about it, but didn’t want to bug you about it. Besides, there been enough exciting stuff announced to keep me busy anyway.

THE WISHNIK will have a print run of 115 to match the number of subscriptions sold to DE3.

Correct, the slipcase will house only the DE3 lineup. THE WISHNIK won’t be included into the slipcase due to it being produced differently than the series.
