Info Dump
Sorry, but I couldn’t hold it any longer. I have to take a dump…
I. The Insider
I’ve been getting several e-mails today about the login issue with the blog. Just wanted to state that there is no problem. Officially today, the blog has merged as the main part of Delirium Books.com, so I’ve opened it up for easier access. What this means is that you won’t have to log in to get in. But you will have to log in before you post comments, post to the message board, chat in the shoutbox, and also view all posts, as some posts will be restricted to guests who are not logged in.
II. Navigation
I’ve been listening to feedback from users of this site and have made many changes over the past week, some you have noticed, some you may not have. Here’s a brief breakdown of some useful tricks on getting the most out of this new site:
The page menu near the top of the sidebar is a collapsing menu. What this means is that if you click on ‘Future Titles’ it will take you to the main Future Titles page, but then it will open up the page menu (on the sidebar) to all the pages under the Future Titles section. In this section, for instance, is every forthcoming title page. Pages for Ghoul, God’s End, etc. that document the cover artwork, the print run, pricing, and much more. Same way with the ‘Author Pages’ menu link. Click on that and then look again on the pages menu and you’ll see individual author pages, each page having a special mailing list subscription opt-in to be notified of pre-sales of your favorite authors.
III. Sub Mailing Lists
Which brings me to the third part of my dump. I’m in the process of setting up author pages which contain info on each Delirium author and mailing lists that are new and only pertain to Delirium releases by each author. What this means is that if you join one of these sub-lists, like the Michael McBride list, you’ll receive pre-sales notification of all future McBride/Delirium releases before his books sell out within 8 hours.
IV. Book Divisions
Another page menu link is ‘Book Divisions’. This documents each series and book line Delirium has in process. Also contains links to the storefront. Check it out.
V. Hardcover & Chapbook Subscriptions
A lot of nervous customers have e-mailed me, fearing that their HC subscriptions are going to run out at year’s end without any notification which would cause them to miss a title. Never fear, I’ve changed the terms so that each subscription is ongoing until customers cancel. You can read the new terms at the link below:
As for the chapbook subscription, I plan to keep these ongoing as well, though customers can cancel their subscriptions at any time after a year by e-mailing me.
VI. Now that this is officially a ‘Power Dump’, let me thank everyone who ordered God’s End. The first Michael McBride Delirium title sold out in just 8 hours! For those of you who didn’t get a copy, see section III: Sub Mailing Lists.
Phew! I think I’m done now. I feel less bloated now (with info).
