Registration Drive Ending
Since February first, we’ve seen 36 new Delirium-ites join the Insider. I’d like to thank everyone for getting the word out there. Our goal was 400 which means we’ll need 89 new members in 7 days.
I realize that’s a tall order. And in order to meet this, I’m afraid we’d be ushering in too many people whose interests wouldn’t quite fit the mold of someone who’d be a true Delirium Insider. So I’m going to extend this through March.
Strangely enough, the Delirium mailing list contains well over 1200 active people (as e-mails get filtered for bounces). Yet, only 311 registered for the blog.
Why should you register?
- It’s free
- It’s easy
- You get bonus posts
- As of tonight, it’ll be required.
Yes, it’s back to registered users only. Why? Because the confusion of being registered and not registered has generated too many e-mails. Some posts are only accessible to logged in users and users who have registered but don’t log in wonder why they can’t access these posts.
So to simplify: you must now log in to access the Insider. It’s free, although you can become a paid subscriber and get access to more posts, including Project Corrosion if you like. But that’s not necessary.
And the Delirium Insider should be regulated more, spam is getting heavy and this community can still exist by a simple matter of registering and logging in.
Of course, I had complaints months ago. People thought it was too much trouble to have to log in each time. But that shouldn’t be a factor because if you check the “remember me” box beside your log in details when you log in next time, the information should be saved so that you can get one-click access to the blog for each time you visit thereafter.

Who would subscribe to the newsletter but not the Insider? I just don’t get it.
