Upcoming Announcement
Just to relieve some people and cut down on the number of e-mails I’m receiving, the new Keene book will go up for sale around noon EST today via an announcement right here on the Insider. So for those camped out in my cyberlot, feel free to go grab yourself coffee, surf some internet porn for a few hours, then come back. ![]()
Or you can stay and read the Insider…lots of great stuff here. Check out the Horror D’oeuvres and special exclusive author columns.

Comment by W-A-GREINER on 27 March 2007:
Wish there was a description of the book, The Rising: Selected Scenes From The End Of The World. If I knew what was in it…short stories?…essays?…..I read “The Rising”..is a filler of stories?…deleated scenes? Like I said ..I would buy it if I knew what the content was basically about.
Comment by dezm on 27 March 2007:

Comment by Jack Staynes on 27 March 2007:
bah! Damn GMT means nothing, just moved the clocks this weekend, for summer time, supposed to get back some daylight savings we had, I’m guessing there’s wasn’t much interest on it because it’s still bloody crap weather.
I guess i’ll just sit here and gather dust just to make sure I don’t miss nowt.

Time stamp was Central time here. I’ve tried to tweak it, let’s see…
Comment by Shane Staley on 27 March 2007:
OK, now the time stamp is EST.
Comment by Brian Keene on 27 March 2007:
The Rising: Selected Scenes From the End of the World contains thirty-two short stories based in the world of The Rising and City of the Dead. Now, fans can thrill to how the undead epidemic plays out across the globe — Australia, the United Kingdom, Norway, the United States — nowhere is safe from the zombie invasion. Meet new characters you’ll come to love, re-discover old characters you thought were gone, and find out what happenes after the fateful events of City of the Dead.
Comment by dezm on 27 March 2007:
Oh geez, didn’t catch that last part. Cool stuff!
Comment by macker on 27 March 2007:
the time stamp should be GMT, seeing as we are the centre of the universe
