Delirium Books & Horror Mall
After spending months on the merger, I’d like to finally announce that my new company Horror Mall is now the host to Delirium’s online catalog of titles. What this means is that all Delirium titles will now be ordered through Horror Mall, including new releases and any currently in-stock titles.
Everybody hates change (including myself), but I felt this change was one for the better and that the horror genre needed this change.
Horror Mall is now the fastest growing online horror community on the planet and sales have been quite impressive over the past month. With more than 800 independent press book titles now in-stock and a growing art community, Horror Mall will now be focusing on indie horror films, T-shirts and other creations from the independent artists throughout the world.
What this means for Delirium Books is that when you order a Delirium title, it will ship from Bloodletting Books in CA. Bloodletting Books, owned and operated by Larry Roberts, is one of the best independent online horror bookstores in the world and the first shop to come to the Horror Mall. Larry’s customer service ranks right up there with Delirium’s, so you’ll see no change in how you’re treated when ordering Delirium titles.
I’m going to proceed with a list of changes below and how they’ll be handled in regards to Delirium’s core customer base of direct buyers. I’m sure they’ll be many more questions, but all will be answered in the coming weeks/months. If you have a question about the changes, please feel free to post a comment below. But please read this entire post before asking questions.
1) Catalog links and new titles will now link to Horror Mall. You can see there is a drop-down menu in the upper left-hand column on every page. Each one takes you to Delirium’s page at Horror Mall and is sectioned off in multiple categories similar to the old DB catalog.
2) The old Delirium catalog will remain online for customers to access their order histories until every order has been fulfilled (there’s still orders for a few forthcoming titles on the old system).
3) Customer points can be transferred to Horror Mall upon request. Simply send me a note if you plan to use your points at Horror Mall.
4) Subscriptions. There will be no more subscriptions offered through Delirium Books except for the paperback book club. All orders will go through Horror Mall.
5) Existing subscriptions. Will be honored for the rest of the Dark Essentials Series, Vol. 4 which ends this month with the release of The Demonologist. Next years DE series buyers will get first shot at matching numbers through Horror Mall.
Hardcover subscribers will deal directly with Delirium Books for future titles. There will be no more hardcover subscriptions offered to the public.
The X-series will end its subscription cycle immediately (though The Condmened will be covered, as orders have already been taken). All X-series subscribers will be notified about new titles so they can secure their matching numbers through Horror Mall before the series if made available to the public.
This goes the same way with lettered hardcovers, hardcover chapbooks, etc.
6) Lifetime subscriptions. Will be handled directly through Delirium still.
7 ) The Delirium Insider. Is no more. Its contents have merged with the new Delirium Books.com and your user names and passwords are the same that you registered with the Insider. You’ll need to log in to post comments/questions and use the shoutbox, etc.
8 ) Delirium Insider Paid Subscribers. You will be receiving special offers, the free chapbook and much more via e-mail offers. This site no longer contains a special section that only Insiders can see. This might change as the site is developed. But for now, I’ll be handling everything outside of the site, through direct e-mails.
OK, lots more to go over, but I’ll stop there for now.
Right now, I urge you to wander over to Horror Mall and check out its selection of Delirium titles. There’s all the in-stock titles you want, and a lot of rare goodies that were never in the Delirium catalog, thanks to Bloodletting Books’ fine consignment section which currently features some hard-to-find Delirium titles.
Visit Horror Mall often and always check back here to get the latest news and new release announcement for Delirium Books!
