Shipping Update & Other News

The Rising: Selected Scenes From The End Of The World (Custom Collectors Edition) and The Demonologist are ready to ship from Delirium Books. Due to winter storms moving into the area and shutting down a few days this week for a family funeral, these will be shipped out over the course of the next 2 weeks. We had hoped to get these all shipped in time for Christmas, but it looks like most customers will be seeing theirs land after the holidays.

In Delirium II is expected to ship shortly after Christmas, so we’re hoping to have these copies delivered before the New Year or shortly after.

The days of Delirium preorders may be a thing of the past. Starting with the next books to be announced, these titles will not be available to order until they’re in-stock and ready to ship. I’ve made this decision because of two reasons: 1) this cuts down administrative time in having to manually process orders and 2) we’ve been running across too many orders from customers that are either declined or expired which holds up the shipping process.

For customers worried about this, Delirium will be posting a release schedule ahead of time with expected dates of arrival, so you will know when these books will be available to order. We’re not planning on dropping any books on you out of nowhere.

  1. Thanks for the updates Shane!
Question. Ok, no preorders, got it, but
I believe your still doing the HC sub for us who currently have it. Will this still be stated in the release schedule if it is covered under the HC sub?
like BLOOD IN ELECTRIC BLUE? It doesn’t say either way. Just wanted to know so I pay attention to the dates for the ones that are not covered. I don’t want to think I’m getting something automatic when I should have ordered it.

    SLIM :)

  2. Good question Slim.

And what about rights to a number. You may have answer this before but maybe I missed it. I can’t help but worry I’ll miss a book.

  3. When the books go on sale, I’ll let everyone know if it’s covered under the HC sub. I’ll start doing this as soon as the book is listed. Blood In Electric Blue will be part of the HC subscription.

Numbers will be matched, too, pertaining to series and your HC subs.

  4. Thanks for the clarification…I was wondering the same things!

  5. Shane, it seems that I’ve missed quite a few things the last six months. Is the insider still there? I notice that my old connections are not working.

  6. Check out the post on 12-3, about DB and Horror-Mall. That will bring you up to speed!

  7. Let me get this straight. HC, x series and essential subscribers will still receive their automatic shipments. Aside from the subscribers, the balance of the books available will be sold only after they are in house? If this is not the case, I’d gladly pay a $25 charge per subscription (as we did for the HC sub) for the other subs. Does that make sense, or am I all fubar?

  8. HC Subs will be automatic shipments for those titles covered under the subscription. X-Series will no longer be subbed, but customers will receive their matching numbers. The Dark Essentials Series will have a subscription to pay up front. Otherwise, titles will be available when they are announced.

  9. So…the customers who had subs to the x series will get first refusal? And how do we go about paying up front for the Dark Essentials series?

  10. HC subscriptions are gonna carry on? You get your matching number? However got X Series previously will get the same in future? Dark essentials is a pay upfront package? Where do do you pay for this, Horror Mall?

  11. Whoever not However!

  12. Yes, those who have purchased HC subs will continue the subscription with matching numbers direct through Delirium. X-series subscribers will get offered their matching numbers for future books and theirs will be reserved automatically as they keep purchasing consecutive books in the series. If I offer a Dark Essentials Series sub it will be through Horror Mall. If I don’t, then buyers of the first book in the new volume will get their copies reserved / first rights of refusal.

  13. You know, this may sound dumb as a rock, but spell it out to me like I’m a 3 year old. Do I have to do anything different to keep getting the same copies of the Dark Essentials series? Chapbooks? X series? HC?
Maybe to the level of an enlightened 2 year old.

  14. You’ll receive a notice when X-series and Dark Essentials titles are available to order. And you’ll have to order those as each title becomes available.

The hardcover subscription and chapbook subs will continue to ship automatically.

  15. OK, as long as I answer the email within ~48 hours, I, and the rest of your loyal constant readers will continue to receive our allotments. But, slip up once, take a 3 day vacation away from email, get hospitalized, go on a really long bender, and some other lucky . . . will get OUR BOOK. I see your nefarious scheme, but we are on to you now, we will sleep in shifts, one person always on the wire. H will keep the schedule, and never sleep. boowahahahaha
