EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Delirium Books is owned and operated by Shane Ryan Staley who founded the press in January 1999. He remains as Editor-in-Chief and managing publisher. He first became active in the small press in the mid-to-late ’90s as a published author and poet, then began editing several independent ‘zines such as The Darklands Project and The Twilight Garden series. He has been credited with helping to bring up, through the small press ranks, some of the most influential new talents in the horror genre during his early years as an editor.

 

ASSOCIATE EDITOR

Greg F. Gifune is a graduate of Newman Preparatory School in Boston, and Northeast Broadcasting School (New England Institute of Art), also in Boston, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Thievin’ Kitty Publications from 1998 until 2004. Publisher of the acclaimed fiction magazines The Edge, Tales of Suspense, and Burning Sky, Adventures in Science Fiction Terror, Thievin’ Kitty Publications featured a wide range of writers and styles, and The Edge, which had one of the largest readerships of any small press magazine ever published, helped to launch and solidify many careers. From 1998 to the present, in addition to working full-time as an author, Greg has also worked as a freelance novel editor, editing several manuscripts annually, mostly for established authors and occasionally for newer writers.

ASSISTANT EDITOR

David Marty has studied Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, English and Computer Science at various universities in his lifetime and currently works in quality control for a small software company. He has been a fan, collector and devotee of fantastic fiction and specifically small press fantastic fiction for over twenty-six years. He began proofreading for Delirium Books three years ago. As an assistant editor he will oversee the proofing of all titles as well as being instrumental in selecting future titles for the Dark Essentials Series.
